1. Compressor Not Running

Fan is running. Power switch is ON.

  • Red high pressure cutout light on control panel is ON, indicating too much pressure in tank. Replace tank.
  • Turn off unit. Turn both Valve 1 and Valve 2 to the Equalize position to equalize pressure. Attempt restart.

2. Refrigerant Not Moving

Compressor is running.

  • Liquid tank valve not open. Open liquid tank valve.
  • Valves not in correct position. Turn Valve 1 and Valve 2 into Recover position.

Compressor is running. Valves in correct position.

  • Faulty manifold connections. Verify connections
  • Internal leak in ball valves. Test for leaks.
  • Bad compressor. Replace.

3. Slow Recovery

  • Recovery is faster when the tank pressure and/or the amount of refrigerant in the tank under vacuum, a cooler tank, or none with less refrigerant in it.
  • If the system has isolated pockets of liquid, the only way to remove them is evaporation. To speed recovery, try using a heat gun to help boil the refrigerant out of these pockets.
