Robinair Trouble Shooting Tips for 25200a






			Choose from the following issues to view the related trouble shooting tips.


	1. Compressor light illuminates but compressor does not start 2. Compressor light does not illuminate and compressor does not start 3. Compressor runs but does not move refrigerant 4. During recovery unit shuts off on high pressure 5. Unit will not pull down to appropriate vacuum level


	1. Compressor light illuminates but compressor does not start

	Compressor head pressure is too high
	Turn Valve 1 to the EQUALIZE position for a couple of seconds before starting

	Compressor thermal protector has tripped
	Allow compressor to re-cool before starting


	2. Compressor light does not illuminate and compressor does not start

	TANK FULL light is on
	Attach the float cable to the float connector on the tank or replace the full tank with an empty tank

	HIGH PRESSURE light is on
	The high side pressure switch has tripped; turn Valve 1 to EQUALIZE for a couple of seconds to reduce the high side pressure

	COMPRESSOR switch is not on
	Press the COMPRESSOR switch to ON


	3. Compressor runs but does not move refrigerant

	Valve 2 is not in the RECOVER position
	Turn Valve 2 to RECOVER

	The RECOVER light for Valve 2 is not illuminated
	Toggle the Valve 2 switch to illuminate the RECOVER light

	The ball valves on the hoses are not open
	Open the ball valves

	Valve 1 is in the EQUALIZE position
	Turn Valve 1 to NORMAL


	4. During recovery unit shuts off on high pressure

	The refillable tank valves are not open
	Open the tank valves

	Valve 2 is not in the RECOVER position
	Turn Valve 2 to RECOVER


	5. Unit will not pull down to appropriate vacuum level

	There is a leak in the A/C system
	Fix the leak

	Valve 1 is in the EQUALIZE position
	Turn Valve 1 to normal
